Chapter Activities - Group Time! Work, Discuss, Present!

Hello Juniors!

Let's use our time well today. Engage with one another and discuss the novel as best as you can.  Interact when it is possible, use your resources, and learn together.  If you are not caught up with your reading, this is a wonderful way to find your way back into the text!!! Take advantage.

1.  You will be assigned a group.  Together you will figure out your best approach to teaching us YOUR chapter.  Below are a list of activities.  You must complete them all - however you can use the WILD CARD activity and substitute one the activities.  You will then present the information to the class.  Everyone in your group must explain an aspect of your poster to the class.

2.  You will take notes on every other chapter that is presented.  This is your exit slip.

Activities to Complete:
* Five Hashtag summaries
* Two pieces of text - include page # and explanation of each quote
* Reference to ONE or more themes found on the Anticipatory Guide
* Explain of either ONE theme/motif/symbol found in your chapter.  Mention the page #
* Illustrations - Person, Place, Thing/Symbol
***WILD CARD - substitute one of these activities and as a group complete a Shrink Lit

EC
* Poetry Slam 7th period - Make sure to get permission from your 7th period teacher.
